Citroën announces it will launch a new limited edition of its in-demand Buggy version of the Citroën Ami electric utility vehicle.
If you are one of those who were left wanting when Citroën launched its limited edition Buggy of its popular Citroën My Ami electric utility vehicle, we have good news for you, as the brand has announced that it will launch a new series of the Citroën My Ami Buggy version.
But this time it won’t just be in France, as all available units sold out in just 18 minutes, and it was only possible to buy it if you live in the neighbouring country. Now, Citroën has said that this new edition will not be exclusively for the French market, ensuring that the sought-after model will also be available in Spain.
This limited edition Citroën My Ami Buggy, as its name suggests, stands out for its adventurous character and design. The truth is that Citroën has provided all the typical details of any buggy to this 100% electric utility vehicle, making it a great choice for the use for which it is intended.
Citroën has not yet revealed the exact launch date for this new series, although it is known that there will be 1,000 units (double the number of the previous series), and that they will go on sale at the end of the first quarter of 2023. The brand has said that it will be available “in several countries where Ami is marketed”, without specifying exactly which ones, but Spain will be one of them.
However, the brand has said that customers interested in this limited edition Citroën My Ami Buggy, should be prepared for the day they are launched, for which they have made a form for those interested to leave their data, and have added: “First come, first served”, so it seems that they will be assigned according to the position on the list that we create when we register.
The first deliveries of this new series are scheduled for late summer, a good time to enjoy all the possibilities offered by this off-road version. The brand has also said that, despite being the same version launched last summer, this new series will include some surprises which, they say, “will be detailed before spring”.
