Fisker Ocean all-electric SUV goes into mass production
The day has finally arrived when Fisker announced that it has begun mass production of its all-electric Fisker Ocean SUV, true to the day it said it would. The Ocean has gone into production at the carbon neutral factory in Graz, Austria. A vehicle that is in strong demand with more than 63,000 reservations worldwide. Fisker president and CEO Henrik Fisker said:
“It is an emotional day when we start production of the world’s most sustainable vehicle in record time, on time, at the carbon neutral factory in Graz.
We have challenged the old model of longer development times, reflecting our team’s agility and dedication to creating emotionally desirable vehicles with the most innovative and unique experiences in our price range.
We have the highest quality at launch, aligned with our commitment to lead the industry in sustainability. More than 63,000 customers around the world share our enthusiasm. It’s a day for our team and our fans to celebrate.”
As we said at the beginning, and as we have been telling you throughout this time, the Fisker Ocean has attracted a lot of public attention in these two years, even selling out the limited edition Fisker Ocean One, which is based on the highest finish called ‘Extreme’, in just 30 days.
This top-of-the-range version, the Fisker Ocean Extreme, is equipped with two electric motors that provide all-wheel drive, offering three driving modes. The estimated range of this version is almost 565 kilometres. Other details such as the 17.1-inch ‘Revolve’ rotating screen, the ‘SolarSky’ roof, digital radar and other features, raise the price to $68,999. In Spain, we know that the Fisker Ocean, in its most basic version, will start at 41,900 euros.
More than 300 units of the Fisker Ocean are scheduled to be produced in the first quarter of 2023, rising to more than 8,000 units in the second quarter. In the third quarter, the production volume is expected to break the 15,000-unit barrier and, finally, in the fourth quarter, to reach a production volume of 42,400 units.
