Ford announces an increase in production of the Mustang Mach-E this year and also a reduction in prices.
Ford has announced two changes for the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E electric car. These two important pieces of news are the announcement of increased production and a reduction in prices for the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E. The first point, to increase manufacturing capacity, makes clear the high demand Ford has achieved for its first electric car.
With this increase in production, Ford wants to significantly reduce delivery times for customers, thereby optimising costs in order to also reduce the price of the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E 2023 globally, making it an even more attractive electric car and, on that basis, further increasing demand for it.
This increase in production is part of the so-called ‘Ford+ Plan’, securing the supplies that come into play to achieve this, such as raw materials and batteries, in order to scale up production not only of the Mustang Mach-E, but also of its other electric vehicles such as the Ford F-150 Lightning electric pickup and its electric vans, such as the Ford E-Transit.
The Mustang Mach-E was the third electric model in the United States in 2022. Ford says the price reduction is also part of Ford’s plan to remain competitive. Ford Model e customer service director Marin Gjaja said:
“We are not ceding ground to anyone. We are producing more electric vehicles to reduce customer wait times, offering competitive pricing and working to create an ownership experience that is second to none.
Our customers are at the heart of everything we do: as we continue to build exciting electric vehicles, we will continue to push the boundaries to make electric vehicles more accessible to everyone.”
Ford reports that existing Mustang Mach-E customers awaiting delivery of their vehicle will automatically receive the adjusted pricing and, for customers with a sale date after January 1, 2023 and who already have their Mustang Mach-E, Ford will communicate directly with them. In addition to the adjusted pricing, on Mustang Mach-E vehicles ordered between 30 January and 3 April 2023, Ford Credit will offer special rates of up to 5.34%.
To get a closer look at these lower prices, below is a table of the previous prices and the updated prices, as well as the difference between them, for all current versions of the Ford Mustang Mach-E, as well as the optional packages.
It should be noted that these are the prices for the US market, as Ford has not yet announced the price reduction in Europe, something that is also expected to occur on the basis of the above-mentioned global reduction.
