Subaru makes changes to its first electric car for next year
Although the Subaru Solterra is not yet available in Spain (it will be soon), the Japanese brand has already made changes to its first 100% electric model to make it even better.
The Subaru Solterra is the brother of the Toyota bZ4X, and both Toyota and Subaru have worked together in the development of these two vehicles with the aim of launching the best possible car, although in the case of the bZ4X problems have come one after the other.
In this new electric era we are seeing how some manufacturers are being much more agile when it comes to implementing changes and improvements in their electric models, and this is clearly the case of Subaru with the Solterra.
As we have already mentioned, the Subaru Solterra is a brand new car, it is not even sold in Spain yet, although we do know that it will be marketed under two versions, but nevertheless the brand has been working during this time to offer its customers an improved version in 2023.
The Subaru Solterra improves its charging performance
The big new feature of the 2023 Subaru Solterra will be the choice of on-board charger options. Currently it only offers a single-phase option which allows AC charging at a maximum of 6.6 kW. However, by 2023 Subaru will also offer a three-phase on-board charger option allowing AC (alternating current) charging at up to 11kW.
This improvement, necessary in our view, means that the Subaru Solterra does not fall behind the AC charging performance of most electric vehicles currently on the market, which is to be welcomed, especially as this is a new model.
