Hyundai has unveiled its new all-electric urban SUV, the Hyundai KONA Electric 2023, now with a revamped design that declares that futuristic trend that can be seen in the Group’s new models, such as the Hyundai IONIQ 5. In fact, Hyundai now brings its pixel details to different parts of the vehicle of the new KONA Electric.
It features a large ‘Seamless Horizon’ LED strip, which illuminates the entire front and rear, as well as incorporating a reinvented grille with the aforementioned pixels in the centre stage. It is fitted with 19-inch alloy wheels, again inspired by the pixel concept.
Continuing with the design, in contrast to previous generations, the electric version now matches that of its combustion-engined counterparts, once again underlining the Group’s electric commitment. The new KONA EV also gains a few centimetres, measuring 4.25 metres in length – 150 mm longer than the previous generation – as well as 25 mm wider and 60 mm longer than the previous generation.
Its larger dimensions provide more space inside the cabin, which has also been revamped. Dual 12.3-inch screens are incorporated, as well as ambient lighting. Storage space is also increased with the new focus on the centre console.
At the moment, no further details of the new KONA Electric 2023 are known, but the brand has said it will provide more information in the coming months. Hyundai Executive Vice President and Head of Hyundai Design Centre SangYup Lee said:
