The VF 6 and VF 7 midsize SUVs coming from Vietnam to Europe

Vinfast has presented its next two electric cars, the VF 6 and VF 7, two types of cars that are very well adapted to the European market.

In recent months we are announcing the arrival of new electric car brands in Europe, most of them coming from China, but there are also very interesting proposals from other Asian countries, as is the case of the Vietnamese company Vinfast.

In less than a month, Vinfast expects to make the first deliveries of its current electric models to a select number of countries in Europe, marking the arrival of a new brand on the old continent.

Although Vinfast is a new company, it already has two large SUVs on the global market, the VF 8 and VF 9, which have already accumulated more than 65,000 firm orders.

But Vinfast plans to expand its electric car offering with three new models, the VF 5, VF 6 and VF 7, in the next two years (2023 and 2024).

On the occasion of the Los Angeles Motor Show that took place a few days ago, Vinfast officially presented the VF 6 and VF 7, two vehicles that cover a highly demanded segment in Europe such as the medium SUV (Segment B and C).

Photos and features of the Vinfast VF 6 and VF 7

First we will give you details of the Vinfast VF 6, the smaller of the two.

The Vinfast VF 6 is 4.24 metres long, 1.82 metres wide and 1.59 metres high. The wheelbase is 2.73 metres.

The Vietnamese brand will offer two powertrains for the VF 6, the ECO version with 178 hp and 250 Nm of torque and the PLUS version with 204 hp and 310 Nm of torque. However, both options have a single electric motor on the front axle (front-wheel drive).

As for the Vinfast VF 7, it is a very similar model to the VF 6, although slightly larger. The dimensions of the VF 7 are 4.55 metres long, 1.89 metres wide, 1.64 metres high and a wheelbase of 2.84 metres.

As with the VF 6, two versions are available, with the main difference being the power output: the ECO version has a power output of 204 hp and 310 Nm of torque, while the PLUS version has 353 hp and 500 Nm of torque.

On the occasion of the presentation, Vinfast president Le Thi Thu Thuy said:

The VinFast VF 6 and VF 7 have high-end interior and exterior design, luxurious interior space and advanced technology. With four electric cars that BCDE segments, VinFast is fast becoming an electric vehicle manufacturer for all.”

And in this aspect, the design, both the Vinfast VF 6 and the VF 7 have a very nice and differentiating aesthetic, don’t you think?
